Grab Legal team is comprising of lawyers and specialists coming from various countries from all over the world, who are open minded and very supportive with managers allowing some level of independence. Our Vietnam team is currently made of 5 members who report to Regional Legal based in Singapore and are taking care of the entire Vietnam’s platform businesses.

advise on legal risks and possible mitigating steps to help our stakeholders form commercially sound and reasonable decisions that contribute to sustainable growth.
Get to know the role:
You will have a key role in the management of legal and regulatory matters of Grab VN, working closely and regularly with various competencies of all levels. You will get an opportunity to work in a US listed company, interface with various law firms, and liaise with government agencies.
The day-to-day activities:
Draft, advise and negotiate on commercial contracts related to company’s daily business, mainly focusing on the following areas, including but not limited to, e-hailing and transportation, e-commerce & trading, enterprise and investment, merger and anti-trust, labor and litigations.
Daily support on legal advice and legal analysis to the Regional and Country business stakeholders on a broad range of issues such as matters relating to consumer protection, driver operation, merchant disputes, safety and fraud, etc.
Oversee the litigation portfolio which include civil, criminal and labor cases.
Participate in legal proceedings as delegated by the management.
Develop and implement draft policies, procedures, processes and guiding documents to enhance the compliance status across all businesses.
Conduct, liaise and work with relevant licensing authorities in relation to operational licenses of the company.
Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the Regional and/or management.
Bachelor’s degree in laws;
Admitted to the Bar Association is favorable.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese;
Having the ability and commitment to travel within and, at times on short notice, in Vietnam or in SEA.
6-8 years working experience, with a preferrable of at least 2-3 years in-house counsel experience in multi-national company.
Having a strong legal, analytical, communication and presentation skills (commensurate with the candidate’s experience);
Having an ability to understand the business, commercial requirements, company’s strategies and directions, its people and its organisational structures;
Having awareness of legal and commercial risks as well as the ability to balance such risks against business benefits, with appropriate mitigation measures taken;
Having an ability to work under immense pressure and with minimal supervision.
Having an ability to do multiple tasks.
