Review and provide consultancy for trademark-related matters (experience with
international
trademark registration and counseling is preferable);
Draft, file, and prosecute trademark applications in Vietnam and abroad on behalf of clients.
Conduct comprehensive trademark searches, analyze cases, draft documents, prepare advice, and report to clients.
Respond to inquiries, including but not limited to: new application procedures/cost estimation, application preparation, drafting, and filing.
Respond to provisional refusals, taking trademark oppositions/cancellations/invalidations, assignment and licensing, renewal and change recordal procedures, and related matters.
Represent clients in trademark opposition, cancellation, and invalidation proceedings before the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (NOIP) and the courts.
Respond to inquiries from clients and potential clients in relation to trademark and other IP matters in a timely manner.
Handle IP infringement cases, including but not limited to: (i) communication with the infringers and the authorities; and (ii) drafting/reviewing reports/summaries of cases to clients and/or senior attorneys/partners.
Perform market research and check infringers activities.
Perform other tasks relevant to or in connection with the foregoing.
Other tasks as requested by the nature of the position and senior attorneys/partners.
Bachelor of Laws (qualified industrial property attorneys or qualified lawyers are preferable);
At least
03 to 05 years
of working experience in the field of intellectual property
(working experience in international trademark-related advisory services will be preferable)
.
Experience in other IP areas, such as copyright, industrial designs or patents, is a plus.
Fluency in English (listening, speaking, reading & writing) (TOEIC/ IELTS/ TOEFL certifications or equivalent are preferable);
Excellent in communication skills;
Conversant with Microsoft Office, Internet & E-mail;
Able to work independently under pressure, be responsive to clients; and
Be active & self-motivated and work well with colleagues.
