We are seeking a creative, analytical, and detail-oriented R&D Executive to join our Product Development team in Ho Chi Minh City. In this role, you will be the creative force behind our beverage portfolio, responsible for researching, refining, and optimizing drink formulations to deliver exceptional taste experiences. Whether you are conducting sensory testing, adjusting ingredient ratios to improve cost-efficiency, or developing innovative flavor profiles, your work will be pivotal in driving our brand's market competitiveness. Key Responsibilities
Formulation Research & Improvement: Research and develop new beverage recipes or optimize existing ones by meticulously adjusting ingredient ratios (base, flavor, acidity, sweetness, etc.) to enhance quality and consistency.
Sensory Evaluation & Testing: Conduct rigorous sensory analysis and taste tests to refine flavor profiles, mouthfeel, and visual appeal, ensuring products meet defined quality standards and consumer preferences.
Ingredient Functionality Analysis: Study the interaction of different food ingredients and stabilizers to maintain product stability, extend shelf-life, and ensure optimal performance in various production environments.
Cost-Optimization: Analyze and adjust ingredient ratios to achieve a balance between superior taste and cost-effectiveness without compromising the product's integrity.
Market Trend Adaptation: Stay updated on global and local beverage trends (e.g., healthier alternatives, low-sugar options, functional drinks) and incorporate these insights into new formulation concepts.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop products that align with strategic business goals and with Production to ensure smooth execution of lab-scale recipes into large-scale manufacturing.
Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all formulation trials, ingredient specifications, and final "Golden Sample" recipes.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in beverage R&D or flavor application. A strong track record of successful product launches or formula improvements is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of beverage chemistry, sensory science, and ingredient interactions.
Proficiency in laboratory equipment and data analysis tools for tracking formulation experiments.
Knowledge of food safety standards, labeling regulations, and quality control protocols.
Personal Attributes:
Refined Palate & Creative Mindset: A sharp sense of taste and smell, combined with the creativity to innovate and "think outside the box" in flavor pairing.
Precision & Meticulousness: Strong attention to detail, especially when recording minute adjustments in ingredient ratios or measuring technical parameters.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data from sensory trials and adjust formulations based on objective feedback.
Adaptability: Capacity to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, balancing multiple projects and shifting priorities based on market feedback.
